In Grades 2-5 this week we challenged our knowledge of pitch and rhythm through the "mystery message game." This game involves guessing musical words by listening to a series of rhythms. Once we got proficient at it, we split into teams to see who could score the most points.
The side board words for the week were: Allegro, Accompaniment, and Time Signature.
In K-1 this week we learned two new games, both of which involve some solo singing. The first game was "Good King Leopold." Our King (or sometimes Queen) in this game had to sing a phrase solo.
The second game we played was called "Frog in the Meadow." This game gets the kids up and moving and is more competitive the previous game. This is a fun little circle game that gets the kids up and active.
