In Grade 5, our new challenge with the songs for the play is memorization. We have a couple that are memorized, but we are working our way through all of them!
In Grade 4, we took a rhythm game that we did last week and gave it a competitive side. Students competed in teams of two to try and see which team could stay in the game the longest. We are on our way to mastering quarter notes and eighth notes.
In Grade 3, we started by reviewing the purple belt. We also began testing for our belts ranging from white all the way up to purple. Our goal is to start the blue belt next week!
In Grade 2, we are starting to learn and review about quarter and eighth notes. We are using rhythm games as an introduction.
In Grades K and 1, we learned a singing/rhythm game called "Obwisana." This is a competitive game that gets the students singing and practicing their sense of rhythm and steady beat.
