This week in grades 2-5, we did an activity called "listen and draw." Since Halloween is fast approaching, we listened to "In the Hall of the Mountain King" from the Peer Gynt Suite by Edvard Grieg. While listening, we thought of different things that the music reminded us of. When something came to find, we tried to depict it on a sheet of paper. At the end of our listening, we got together as a class and shared what we came up with!
In K-1 this week, we are further exploring some of the new songs and dances we talked about last week. We are practicing our solos, and working on using movement to model a famous piece of classical literature!
I am looking forward to doing some more Halloween activities next week with all the grade levels!
