In grades 4 and 5 this week, we worked on our sense of rhythm, which involved both clapping and drumming. We looked at specific poems and then watched a brain pop at the end of class that discussed time signatures and reading notes on both the treble and bass clef.
The Side Board words for the week were: Accent, Repeat, and Key Signature.
In grade 3, we are continuing with our recorder karate! Lots of us now have our white belt and some of us may soon have our yellow belt!
In grade 2, we played a new game called "Frog in the Meadow," which was a great way to practice our singing while also playing a fun game! At the end we watched a brain pop about musical instruments.
In grades K-1, we are working on our sense of rhythm and keeping a beat as well as singing as a class. We watched a brain pop at the end about Mozart.
